Make a stop along the way to have lunch in one of the seafront taverns, all equipped with jetties where you can leave your boat to enjoy your meal before continuing your journey. Visiting the nearby sleepy villages and pebbled coves by car is just as easy. The bay above, called Kalami, is where novelist Lawrence Durrell’s home still stands today. Head further north to Kerasia, one of the best beaches in the north-east, or Agios Stefanos just above, a crescent coast with just enough facilities to sustain the place’s idyllic natural beauty. Or you can drive further and reach the village of Kassiopi with its picturesque harbor and cobbled streets. Wherever you go, Agni’s beauty will definitely have you coming back for more.
